If you had told us one year ago that twenty banking officers in Dominica would voluntarily engage in roleplays, whiteboard battles, live coaching, and a dozen “aha!” moments on Zoom… we probably wouldn’t have believed you. But here we are — looking back at one of the most energizing learning journeys we’ve ever had the privilege to design.
What started as a simple question — “How can we strengthen the connection between MSMEs and banks?” — became a full-blown transformation project at the National Bank of Dominica (NBD).
Over twelve months, we blended onsite workshops in Roseau with virtual deep-dives, microlearning, and lots of practical case work. And somewhere along the way, something shifted:
- Officers started challenging old assumptions.
- Conversations with clients became more empathetic.
- Risk assessment got sharper and more human.
- And yes… spreadsheets became slightly less scary.
We watched team members grow into confident SME advisors who can spot business potential where others see only paperwork. The energy was real. The commitment was real. And the results? Even better than we hoped.
This wasn’t just a training program — it became a movement inside NBD.
With every session, the group developed its own rhythm, its own humor, and its own shared mission:
Help small businesses thrive, one good conversation at a time.
And honestly? That’s exactly why we love what we do.
